Tofu scramble
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 3 red chilly peppers or any type of chilly
- 1 red or yellow onion chopped
- 1 greeen bell pepper chopped
- 14 oz firm tofu
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu using a tofu press or kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped chilly, onion and cook till they are translucent.
- Add turmeric, salt, and mix. Add green peppers and cook for 5 minutes until crunchy.
- Add crumbled tofu and fry until combined and hot. Switch off the flame.
- Add lemon juice, give a quick stir, and serve immediately.
Notes
- To make it more colorful, you can add colors of peppers.
- If you like your tofu to be dry, fry for few more minutes.
- Adding turmeric is optional.
