Dates: Dates are packed with fiber and high in antioxidants, which is a natural sweetener too.
Coconut oil: It acts as an antibacterial and antiviral, which is a plant derivative form of saturated fat.
Hemp seeds: An excellent superfood that is high in protein and helps to fight high cholesterol and heart diseases.
Nuts: Each seed has its own benefits. They have anti-inflammatory properties and are rich in antioxidants.
Variations:
- Coconut oil can be substituted with avocado oil or hemp oil.
- You can play with the ingredients as you like, similarly, you can add prunes, apricots, figs, pecans, hazelnuts, currant.
- For chocolate flavor, you can add cocoa nibs.
For a quick and easy version you can use a nut grinder to chop the nuts and for dry fruits, you can use a food processor to make your work jiffy.

Rolled Nuts
Ingredients
- 10 dates
- 2 tbsp Coconut oil
- 2 tbsp Hemp seeds
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes Unsweetened
- 1/4 cup Chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup Chopped Walnuts
- 1/4 cup Chopped Cashews
- 1/4 cup Chopped Pistachio Unsalted
- 1/4 cup Raisins
- 1/4 cup Cranberries optional
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract optional
Instructions
- Grind the dates coarsely in the blender.
- Heat coconut oil in a medium flame and add Hemp seeds, immediately followed by coconut flakes and roast till it changes color.
- Further add almonds, walnuts, cashewnuts, pistachio, raisins, and cranberries.
- Roast on a low flame till nuts turn crunchier.
- Now add crushed dates and combine well.
- Turn off the flame and add vanilla extract, if using.
- Once the mixture is warm enough to handle, use your hands to form a cylindrical shape and wrap with hemp seeds on top.
- Refrigerate for an hour or freeze for 30 minutes and cut into thick slices
Notes
- Any nuts or dry fruits can be used.
- Instead of rolling, you can make balls out of it.
