Almond milk with spices is a drink made with almond meal, cashew nuts, and spices. You can have this milk hot or cold. It tastes great in both ways. The spices added in the ground mix bring a pleasant flavor and while drinking warm in the cold season feels so good.
For a quick version, I used an almond meal. You can add the whole almonds too. In India, this ground mix is mixed with dairy milk. If you do not want to prepare and store, then soak the almonds in hot water for 2 hours or overnight at normal temperature. Remove the skin add all the spices and other nuts, mix with almond milk or water and grind them all together. If you like them store the almond and nut mixture in bulk.
The reason for adding almond milk to the almond meal is it becomes richer and thick. That’s why there is always a choice of adding water to it.

Can I use regular almonds?
Yes, you can whole almonds in this recipe. If you don’t have an almond meal dry roast 1 cup of almonds in a pan to warm and bring the nutty flavor.
Are cashew nuts and pistachio necessary to prepare the milk?
Not really. The cashew nuts make the water/milk thicker and enhance the taste. Pistachio makes it richer.
Why does my ground nut mixture become oily?
If you are roasting the whole nuts and adding make sure you cool the nuts completely before grinding. Whenever grinding the nuts make sure you scrape the sides and do in pulse mode.
Can I avoid spices and turmeric?
Yes, you can. The spices turmeric, pepper, cloves can be added in winter. Any season works well. Particularly, if you are drinking the milk warm with all the spices in, it keeps us healthy.

Prepare the almond powder and store it in an airtight container. Stays well for a month outside or refrigerates for 6 months. When you want a drink mix the powder with any light milk or water.
